relaxed and friendly dining

the manor is a small independent bistro cafe & adjacent deli in the heart of the vibrant north laines,  serving rustic british dishes in a relaxed and charming environment. We pride ourselves on friendly service and quality food all prepared by our chefs in the manor kitchens.

the bistro cafe at no  52 is fully licensed and has lots of seating spread over 2 floors. We serve cooked to order breakfasts until 12 and our lunch menu is served from noon.  We certainly love our coffee and it is best accompanied with a slice of cake baked everyday on the premises.

taking our food seriously, we cook up the best of British (without being shy of some overseas influences now and again), using great ingredients from suppliers we trust. the manor believe that that a good old fashioned approach to cooking is the right way, so  you will find plenty of tasty dishes whatever your budget. .

not only do we smoke our own meat, fish and cheese but we like to turn our hand to a bit of preserving too with pickles and our own manor chutneys often appearing on our menus. Our breakfasts are cooked to order and whether you want a 3 egg omelette, beans on toast or the excellent manor house  someone will take care that it’s done properly.

We have a carefully selected drinks menu with wine, beer &  sideboard cocktails – no visit to the manor is complete without trying something from really special from the gin shelf. we have plenty of soft drinks and serve fresh ground coffee and selected teas all day.

the manor is also a great space for private dining. we can cater for  all occasions; the working breakfast, posh lunches and private dining

Not got a lot of time? then the manor deli at no 53 provides quiches, pies, sandwiches, salads and many deli treats – try one of our fantastic giant scotch eggs for a different kind of lunch

& finally we can come to you. our outside catering service can provide lunch at your office or cater  for your party. Contact for a bespoke quote.
